The national pottery and ceramics festival features stalls and demonstrations by a range of up-and-coming and established makers. This year, the festival includes a retrospective of Mick Casson. There's also the 'Throw-a-Pot' marquee, where an experienced thrower guides participants through the process of making a pot (age 4+). It's worth noting that the grounds of Hatfield House are currently hosting a display of sculptures by Henry Moore, which can be visited for an additional charge. Hatfield is easily accessible by train from King's Cross. For full details see www.artinclay.co.uk
