Check-in is quick and pleasant; rooms are spacious, clean and warm, with comfortable beds and decent bathrooms with very good showers. Breakfast, a buffet-style affair in a comfortable dining room, is extra but provides ballast for a day of sightseeing, shopping, or, indeed, meetings. Wi-Fi costs £3 a day, but guests get a 30-minute free session.
