Time Out says

Soho House took over this Soho institution in 2016 and after keeping it for members only for a while, it is now open to everyone (although members do get discounted rooms). Older Londoners will have fond memories of the original Kettner’s restaurant, opened in 1867 by August Kettner, chef to Napoleon III. There were originally concerns when this turned into a lavish Soho House hotel but this is still a chic Soho stop off. Made up of 15 Georgian townhouses (including 11 listed buildings), plus the old Soho House Greek Street, the hotel now has thirty-three rooms, from ‘tiny’ to suites, with both original features and nods to art deco design.

How much does Kettner’s hotel cost per night?

We checked prices for Saturday nights at Kettner’s which start around £335 in mid January and go up to £850 as the starting price in December.

Kettner’s restaurant:

The restaurant here is a Soho icon. After being taken over by Soho House, the menu has changed a lot but now it’s back to being a glam but reasonably priced French bistro serving dishes like Terrine de Campagne and Cote de Boeuf. Read the full Kettner’s restaurant review here.

Where is Kettner’s hotel?

Just off the iconic Soho thoroughfare Old Compton Street, Kettner’s is truly in the beating heart of Soho. You only need to step outside to be greeted by bars (queer and straight), restaurants a plenty and shops selling everything from high end clothes to butt plugs.

What is the nearest tube to Kettner’s?

The hotel is a short walk from Tottenham Court Road and Leicester Square tube stations.

Time Out tip:

Kettner’s is perfectly situation to explore other Soho institutions. Go for tea and cake at Maison Bertaux during the day and a half pint at The French House once evening falls.
