The three-star 1950s ‘Parkview’ is set in a tranquil location overlooking Parque Eduardo VII, near the El Corte Inglés shopping complex. Rooms are on the cramped side and plainly furnished – the recent refurbishment only went as far as the reception and bar – but a friendly atmosphere and English-speaking staff go some way to making up for that. Internet access is free. Aside from breakfast there’s no meal service. Local handicrafts are on sale at reception.
