The budget airline no-frills approach has been applied to this mini-chain of hotels, which makes it unlikely to appeal to anyone but a stop-out. Rooms come in three sizes – small, really small and tiny – the last of which is the precise width of the bed. Rooms come with a bed and pre-fab bathroom unit (toilet, sink and showerhead almost on top of the sink), with no wardrobe, lift or breakfast. Want a window? Pay extra. TV? Housekeeping? Ditto. The rooms, bookable online only, start low – but book well in advance or expect to pay around £40-£50. The check-in (3pm) and check-out (10am) times and the chain’s cancellation policy are hardly generous.
