With its well-stocked fridges, DJ space and plentiful supply of popcorn, Duck and Dry’s central London offering is a dream hang-out space. And the fact that you’ll leave there with considerably better-looking hair is almost just a bonus.
It’s an industrial-style space with painted brickwork, softened with delicate plants. Sleek egg-shaped mirrors line the walls, reminiscent of 1950’s style drying hoods and they have duck-egg blue chairs in front – these guys are waterfowl obsessed.
Friendly and funny, my stylist tamed the bird’s nest that is my hair into something altogether smoother, sleeker and bouncier. And with one large communal styling table, it’s the perfect place to go and get groomed with a group of friends; the only issue is that you might have a better time preening than in the pub.
