London was always light-years behind New York in the grooming stakes – until a clutch of stateside-style blow-dry bars started cropping up in various corners of the capital, that is. Just a couple of minutes from Oxford Circus, DryBy is one of the latest in this new guard of grooming hotspots – it’s also handily located next-door-but-one to the fashion crowd’s favourite spinning studio, Psycle, so you can sort out your mop after a brutal early morning class. The salon is set up like the  sort of swanky townhouse that Instagram dreams are made of. Downstairs is dedicated to manicures, which are done using nasty-free polishes by Soigné, while blow dries take place on the first floor: to keep the process speedy, you’re asked to choose from one of five styles, each inspired by a different city.
