Blue Tit has is among good company in a creative corner of Crouch Hill, near pub The Old Dairy, Max’s famous Sandwich Shop and quirky restaurant Hodge Podge. It fits in seamlessly, with white brick walls, Millenial pink tiles, trailing house plants and a stream of effortlessly styled customers perched in their navy leather seats.
The minute you step inside you know you’re in good hands. There’s a comfortable, laid back vibe but the staff, led by manager Chris, who was a long-time Blue Tit employee before he set up the Crouch Hill branch, are attentive and knowledgable. It's the kind of place where you can be vague in your requests and trust your stylist has your hair’s best interest at heart, whether your aim is to neaten up with a trim or leave with something bold, edgy and super colourful. After a chat about my own hair woes, my brassy, dried-out balayage was cropped and coloured into dark and healthy, collarbone-length waves that perfectly suited my face shape and skin tone. Crouch Hill should count itself lucky to have Blue Tit in the neighbourhood.
