The annual St Patrick's Day parade of Irish floats begins its amble from Green Park, along Piccadilly and down to Trafalgar Square at noon with marching bands, dancers and community representatives – not to mention the 36-metre-long Puca, a giant inflatable dragon. In Trafalgar Square, there will be traditional and contemporary Irish music and dance on the main stage includingYngve & The Innocent (12.40pm), Kayna featuring Damien O'Kane (1.50pm), and Crossharbour (2.30pm), along with other activities and events. For the first time the festival will feature a comedy tent, hosted by the London Irish Comedy Festival, and a film tent, screening shorts by Irish filmmakers. A special food market and kids' area are just some of the other attractions on offer at this day-long festival.
