Regent's Canal Festival

The Regent's Canal celebrates its two hundredth birthday with a weekend of arts events from Limehouse Basin to Little Venice. These include 'Tales from the Tunnel', a storytelling boat trip inside the Islington Tunnel (12-13 New Wharf Rd, N1 9RT and 38 Graham St, N1 8JX; Fri-Sun; £7), 'Venetian Bite' a chance to travel by a genuine Venetian gondola (Little Venice Garden and Rembrandt Garden, W2 1XB: Fri-Sun; £13, family of two adults, two children £50), open-air cinema, performances, exhibitions and even an origami armada, which should sit nicely alongside the Rubbish Art life-size paper boat.
