The team in charge of the London 2012 Olympic And Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony, titled 'A Symphony of British Music', includes 'James Bond' composer David Arnold, costume designer Es Devlin, who has worked with Lady Gaga, and artistic director Kim Gavin, whose previous projects include Take That's 'Circus' tour, so London 2012 looks set to finish on a spectacular note as it sends the Olympic Flame on its way to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Games. While the exact line-up of established and rising stars is under wraps (the Spice Girls? One Direction? We'll have to wait and see), ceremonial certainties include the raising of the flags of the host nations of the 2012 and 2016 Games, the President of the IOC declaring the Games closed and the extinguishing of the Olympic flame.
