Check out the workshop, sleeping pod, brewery and cinema in a Shoreditch industrial unit design to provide flexible and affordable workspace for ‘downdrodden creatives’ (architects have been disproportionately hit by the current economic downturn ). The space, which can be rented by the day, week or month and provides workstations, screenprinting facilities tools and a workshop, offers somewhere to go to keep the creative juices flowing as well as people to collaborate with. The building has a number of green features including a water recycling system and an allotment – and home-brewed ale. Visiting kids won’t be invited to partake of that but this is one of many venues offering children’s activities, in this case the chance to take part in model-making sessions.
