In 2015, Tom Cruise returns to his favourite action franchise with ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’. But while the action, adventure and epic stunts may continue unabated, the Cruiser’s latest mission is going to sound a little different. When this fifth instalment in the series hits the big screen in Dolby Atmos, you’ll feel like you’re jumping out of that plane right along with him.

‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ sees Agent Ethan Hunt (Cruise) facing unexpected redundancy as the Impossible Mission Force is disbanded by those short-sighted pencil-pushers in Washington. But rather than heading down to the job centre, Ethan leaps straight into battle with The Syndicate, a mysterious society of deadly assassins hell-bent on establishing a new world order.

Immersive cinema

Rather than mashing several sounds together like traditional sound systems, Dolby Atmos can project up to 64 simultaneous sounds independently, to create a new, totally immersive cinema experience. So when Tom takes fire, the bullets will seem to come from all around you – and when those grenades go off, the explosions will knock you right back in your cinema seat.

Also starring Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg and Alec Baldwin, ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ is available in Dolby Atmos in selected cinemas. Visit www.dolby.com/atmos for the full list.

‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ is in cinemas from July 31.
