I Fagiolini and The English Concert perform together for the first time in this concert performance of Henry Purcell's semi-opera. Displaying a wealth of Purcell's song-writing and filigree instrumental work, 'King Arthur' includes a number of his most famous pieces including 'Your hay it is mowed' and the beautiful 'Fairest Isle'. (Note: at 1.30pm in Shoreditch Church: an open rehearsal; free but booking required. Then, at 6.30pm, Bryan White, Purcell specialist and music lecturer, talks to I Fagiolini's director Robert Hollingworth.)
