Time Out says

South Indian classical dance (bharatanatyam) meets Western classical music in this submissive production of Stravinsky's epic The Rite of Spring. Typically telling the harrowing story of a woman condemned to dance to death, in Seeta Patel's rendition The Chosen One is played by a man to whom all must sacrifice themselves. This is a rare chance to see bharatanatyam, with its intricate footwork, hand gestures and unique story-telling ability, in an ensemble piece.
