The finals of the 2012/13 edition of the Place Prize. It's the UK's biggest choreography prize, with £25,000 for the winner, plus the opportunity to win an extra £1,000 each night for the piece the audience votes their favourite. Four choreographers have made it to the final: Riccardo Buscarini, h2dance, Rick Nodine and Eva Recacha. Highlights are Nodine's one-man tribute to the Grateful Dead and the searingly honest and seriously comic confessions of h2dance, aka Heidi Rustgaard and Hanna Gillgren. The audience vote adds an extra element of excitement for the spectators, although the eventual winner will be decided by a panel of judges. A good chance to get a taste of what's happening in contemporary dance right now.
