The centre piece of this year’s Greenwich + Docklands International Festival is sure to be the spectacular THAW. The performance, staged by Australian physical theatre company Legs on the Wall, features a two-and-a-half-tonne block of ice suspended high in the air by a crane. Over eight hours, performers will move on and around the ice as it slowly melts. It’s a powerful exploration of climate change, inspired by Australia’s devastating 2019 bushfires.
