German choreographer Sasha Waltz was last seen at Sadler's Wells filling up a huge onstage tank with water for a semi-aquatic version of 'Dido & Aeneas'. This piece, 'Continu', takes place on dry land but like 'Dido' it's also based on a mighty piece of music, Edgard Varèse's 'Arcana' from 1927, a dramatic and slightly scary symphony. The movement comes from two site-specific works Waltz made for museums in Rome and Berlin, now consolidated into a stage work.
