One of America's leading ballet companies, San Francisco Ballet's versatile dancers are back in London for the first time since 2012. They'll be performing four mixed programmes, each with its own distinct flavour. Things kick off Programme A, which is Alexei Ratmansky's formal, classically-inspired 'Shostakovich Trilogy'. Then there's fiercely contemporary Programme B, which includes Arthur Pita's fantastically costumed pop homage, 'Björk Ballet'. Programme C includes Liam Scarlett's 'Hummingbird', set to music by Philip Glass. And finally, Programme D features work by San Francisco Ballet's longtime British collaborator, Christopher Wheeldon.
