For its first public performance, the Royal Opera House's Youth Opera Company performs a specially-commissioned work, 'Beginners' by composer Richard Taylor and librettist Jane Buckler, as well as 'Drowning in Imagination', created by Karen Gillingham and Suzi Zumpe, arranged by Richard Taylor, which incorporates a variety of opera choruses written for young voices. Formed in 2010, the Youth Opera Company currently has 39 members, age 9-12, drawn from across London and the South East.
