This triple bill from the Royal Ballet is a showcase for ballet in all its varied glory. Wayne McGregor kicks off proceedings in his own highly distinctive style. He's explored the boundaries between dance and the arts and science before, in works including 'Raven Girl'. His new ballet 'Obsidian Tear' is inspired by the legend of Nyx, Greek goddess of the night.
Next up, 'The Invitation' by Kenneth MacMillan is a 1960s work that takes its style from the pyschological depth and harrowing realism of the era's kitchen sink dramas. And finally, Christopher Wheeldon's 'Within the Golden Hour' brings together seven couples in an acclaimed, intricate ensemble piece.
