Nierka

An interesting proposition this one, a multidisciplinary performance directed by visual designer Tupac Martir that gives equal weight to visuals and lighting, dance and music. Martir has worked in production and lighting design for pop music, fashion, dance, theatre and opera, and for this project he has teamed up with Nederlands Dans Theater choreographer Fernando Hernando Magadan, the band Austin TV and Mexican DJ duo NSM PSM. 'Nierka' takes ideas from post-modernism and expressionism along with new technology and aims to create a dream-like 'painting in motion'.
