An eclectic triple bill from the Royal Ballet, opening with Wayne McGregor's 'Limen', set to Kaija Saariaho's cello concerto 'Notes on Light'. It's not McGregor's most out-there work, but one that combines his trademark disjointed movements with shifting, shadowy lighting and LED projections. Frederick Ashton's 'Marguerite and Armand' is a tale of doomed romance based on Alexandre Dumas' 'La Dame aux Camélias', set to Liszt. Finally, Kenneth MacMillan's 'Requiem', his tribute to the choreographer John Cranko is a beautiful, serene and stirring work, set to Fauré's 'Requiem'.
