Les Ballets C de la B

As part of the London International Mime Festival, a solo work from the stable of Les Ballets C de la B, the Belgian dance collective that brought us Alain Platel and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. 'The Old King' is a piece created by Miguel Moreira for dancer Romeu Runa that explores a character facing an abstracted apocalypse or adversity and just about clinging on to humanity. From what we've seen it looks like a difficult watch – 'merciless' is one word that's been used to describe it – but if you like your performance intense, bleak and mildly disturbing, this one's for you! Age 14+.
