L'Animale

Italian performance artist Chiara Bersani presents L’Animale as part of LIFT festival this June. The site-specific performance set in the Old Bailey Grand Hall asks the audience to consider what it means to be an animal, and a human, in the world. The one-woman work is a reimagining of ‘The Dying Swan’, a ballet choreography created by Michel Fokine for Anna Pavlova in 1905. Bersani’s unique presence is not to be missed. She last performed in the Big Smoke during Dance Umbrella in 2022.
