The latest in a series of biographical solos created by choreographer/director Jérome Bel in collaboration with a dancer, in this case the former Merce Cunningham and Lyon Opera Ballet dancer Cedric Andrieux. In the piece, Andrieux reflects on his training and his career, giving a candid view of the dancer's life and performing extracts from works by Cunningham, Trisha Brown and others. Bel's first work of this kind, with the Paris Opera Ballet dancer Veronique Doisneau was a masterpiece of dance theatre, so let's hope this one follows suit.
