A solo from Brazilian-born, British-based choreographer Jean Abreu. 'Blood' is inspired by the art of Gilbert & George and features 25 images from the artistic duo's archive – the first time their work has been used in dance. The artists' famous fascination with bodily fluids has spurred Abreu to examine his own body, but don't worry, it only gets a little bit icky. Motion capture technology and animation responds to Abreu's movements and speech, magnifying his (already impressive) physical presence, and while the show has its ponderous moments, there's warmth and humour too, and lots of visual interest.
