Children Of The Mantic Stain

This new ballet from artist Linder brings a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘Cutting a rug’. It centres round an earlier artwork of hers, a tufted carpet backed with gold lame, that is cut into a spiral shape and used as the centrepiece of a dance performance. It’s all designed to explore meditative labyrinths, and women’s role in visual art culture. The work will be choregraphed by Kenneth Tindall, and performed by dancers from Northern Ballet.
