The Big Dance festival returns and it's bigger than ever. Over nine days, dancers will be popping up all over the city in performances, interventions and installations, alongside workshops, film screenings, exhibitions and more. Much of the activity is free and suitable for all ages and abilities. Highlights include a site-specific work made for Uxbridge Lido, the peripatetic Big Dance Bus, which will be travelling around the city with its mobile studio/dancefloor, and screenings of the Big Dance shorts, a set of specially commissioned short films from choreographers including Kate Prince and New Art Club. The festival ends with a mass performance of 1,000 dancers in Trafalgar Square, choreographed by Wayne McGregor. See website for full details.
