Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre was founded back in 1958, with the aim of showcasing African-American dancers in New York. They're landing in London this September, with three separate programmes of brilliant dance.
Programme A includes a work from the great man Ailey himself: 'Revelations'. It also includes Rennie Harris' gospel and house music-fuelled 'Exodus', and a performance of the Royal Ballet's acclaimed choreographer Christopher Wheeldon's duet 'After The Rain'.
