Hugely influential avant garde choreographer Alain Platel is back at Sadler's Wells with a new contemporary work. Nine dancers from his ensembles Les Ballets C De La B perform 'Nicht Schlafen', a dark work set in the troubled dawn of the 20th century, set to the music of Gustav Mahler. Their movements will be accompanied by Steven Prengels' soundtrack, which mixes Mahler's symphonies with African-inspired instruments and polyphonic chants.
