For anyone over thirty, Sean Hughes is instantly recognisable from his stint as a team captain on comedy-pop quiz ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’. But in recent years his focus has returned to stand-up, where he exhibits a razor-sharp wit and a winning way with a story.
His latest show is all about the conflict in his head between common sense and mumbo jumbo, and takes in being serenaded at dawn by Robert Smith, trekking with mountain gorillas in Rwanda and his realisation that he'll never manage a proper conversation with his mum.
