Who? A 26-year-old comic from Brighton who digs deep into his bleak lifestyle to mine dark punchlines.

What? There’s no optimistic edge to McLoughlin: he’s angry and cynical about the world, but mostly hates himself, the choices he’s made and his lack of success.

Why? It isn’t all bad for the disgruntled comic, though. He’s been signed by Ricky Gervais’s agent. Things are looking up!
