US stand-up Louis CK is nothing short of a comedy god, manging to combine everyman observations on relationships and family life with hard-hitting, savagely funny takes on hot-button topics like race and western culture. His Emmy Award-winning series 'Louie' is one of the best sitcoms of this century, and his bleak, matter-of-fact stand-up is in another league. Quite simply, he's one of the finest comedians we've ever seen. Bankrolling his most recent venture, the stark online-only comedy drama 'Horace and Pete' has left CK in a huge amount of debt. Hence this latest tour. Don't worry though, we're sure this bona fide comedy genius will pull off something special during his three-night stand in the capital.
NOTE: Louis CK was originally scheduled to play two dates at The SSE Arena, Wembley. The second of these dates at The SEE Arena, Aug 13, has now been cancelled, with CK instead performing two nights at Hammersmith Apollo on Aug 13 and 14. Ticket holders for the second Wembley date will be contacted by their ticket agent.
