There are plenty of space-themed puns in the marketing blurb for John Bishop's 'Supersonic' tour, including 'Ground control to Major John' and 'Set the controls for the heart of fun'. But the Liverpudlian powerhouse's latest show is more likely to be about life-affirming everyman observations than the cosmos. After three sell-out nights at Wembley Arena, the 48-year-old comic's recording his DVD at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. But before that, he's performing an intimate gig at the Bloomsbury Theatre at the end of March.
