James Acaster – Recognise

James Acaster is a true Time Out fave. His blissfully funny understated stand-up sucks you into his minute, quizzical world where he picks apart seemingly insignificant details. 'Recognise' is his fourth solo show, and his third to bag a Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination. It's beautifully crafted, with Acaster posing as an undercover cop only performing stand-up because 'the gigs keep rolling in'. Superb stuff.
