Bridget Christie won the 2013 Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award for her passionately political show attacking everyday sexism, 'A Bic for Her'. Her follow-up, 'An Ungrateful Woman', is equally superb, if not better. Christie jokingly complains about her recent success, but she uses her new found popularity to tackle the serious issue of female genital mutilation. She can switch from being impishly comical to deadly serious in a millisecond, but her passion means no moment feels out of place. It's a gutsy, ambitious and beautifully crafted hour of stand-up. Ground-breaking stuff.
