In-ya-face Aussie stand-up Brendon Burns has been on the circuit for more than two decades. In that time, he's gained a large, loyal fanbase, bagged the Edinburgh Comedy Award and performed to thousands of comedy club crowds. Well, he's sick of it. He's dismayed with the UK's live comedy circuit, and this 'Outside the Box' tour sees the hardcore comic playing lots of strange venues – anything but comedy clubs. That way, punters who want to see him will find him, rather than Burns trying to win over drunken Friday night crowds.
The tour's taken him to cinemas, tea shops, libraries and a burrito bar. In London, though, Burns is playing the most hipster venue in town: Brick Lane's Cereal Killer Cafe.
