That's right, gamers, you can bash those buttons and waggle those joysticks till your wrists are red raw, before giving your legs some exercise on the dancefloor at this gaming club night. There are over 400 retro games to choose from – across a range of classic consoles, including SNES, Megadrive, NES and Sega Saturn – as well as unreleased and independent games created through development projects.
Punters choose which game they want to play from a list and then tweet their selection on to a wall within the venue – a warehouse in Bethnal Green. And don't expect to relax too much when you're playing – chairs are banned. If you're feeling cocky you can even challenge the existing 'Mario Kart' champion to a game. Prepare to be blitzed on the track, though.
Soundtracking the gaming action will be several DJs providing their own bleeps and blips, including 8-bit chip-tune artist Chipzel, producer Alice Ant and more.
