After top London party promoters The Hydra began exclusively using the venue to host its excellent 2014 programme, Studio Spaces E1 (also a working photographic studio, hence the title) has now been given a further lease of life: They Hydra have been granted a full license to open the venue 24-hours for a huge 40 nights a year. This was in no small part down to the Herculean efforts of The Hydra crew, who expanded SS into a three-room space and organised their parties in an incredibly – refreshingly – professional manner. Its isolated location on the outer reaches of an industrial part of Shadwell also means that the music-loving crowds at Studio Spaces are there because they've made the effort to get there, and not because they've fallen in on their way home after boozing and partying elsewhere. All of which means that this industrial, modern, yet still-intimate clubbing space can continue to host parties helmed by the grade-A DJs and producers pulled in by The Hydra.
