Embodying the sound of Chicago via way of Manchester and the acid house scene, Gerald – both on his own and via 808 State – effortlessly crafted various timeless house anthems, including 'Voodoo Ray' and 'Pacific State', along the way helping to shape the future sound of UK house. You might not hear those classic tracks at Spiritual Groove tonight , but whatever you do hear will be relayed by the hands of a true master. Gerald leads the charge in the first part of this double header of a night, playing from 6pm-midnight at the beautiful St John at Hackney church with eclectic London producer Darren Eeprom. From 11pm, meanwhile, Part Two kicks off in Dalston's Dance Tunnel, with Parisian deep house pro Jef K and fellow French beat-smith Elysée spinning the goods until 4am.
