After eight long years away, London’s premiere immersive theatre show You Me Bum Bum Train has returned to an undisclosed central London location.
As ever, specific information is and will remain sparse with regards to precisely what happens on Kate Bond and Morgan Lloyd’s one-audience-member-at-a-time ‘ride’, in which you’re catapulted through a series of elaborately thought-through scenarios in which you are the lead character.
The show is sold out and there is no official way of getting a ticket now if you don’t have one, though it’s worth keeping an eye out for further releases and extensions, which have in the past happened at short notice.
You can, however, sign up to volunteer to be part of the show: the Bum Bum Train requires huge numbers of people to keep it going, and while there has been a degree of controversy over the fact it is financially impossible to stage without the use of unpaid labour, it offers useful experience and happily makes use of amateurs (rather than trying to get professionals to donate their time for free), plus there is no specific commitment required. If you’re interested there’s more information here.
