Look out, EC2! Dalston invades the City tonight, with Vogue Fabrics' Lyall Hakaraia and his Icy Gays collective taking over the Barbican's Conservatory for an evening of queer fun. Linked to the centre's current exhibition 'The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier', Genderf**k includes performances by feminist electronic producer Planningtorock, cabaret performer Ruth Less and 'pensioner tranny' Jeannie Dee. Filmmaker Sharna Osbourne shows fashion films by East End designers including Sibling and Meadham Kirchhoff, and taking to the decks throughout the evening are Princess Julia, The Lovely Jonjo and more. This is an ultra-rare chance to party in a huge tropical conservatory in the centre of London – but, as the organisers say, 'Don't you dare dress conservatively'!
