Daniel Avery Album Launch

Over the last 18 months, Daniel Avery has become one of the hottest tickets in town thanks to his delicious blend of computer-funk, cosmic-house and ruffed-up electro. Given the stamp of approval by mentors and collaborators Andrew Weatherall and Erol Alkan, his FabricLive mix in 2012 edged further into the spotlight and now, finally, it's time for his debut full-length album, Drone Logic'. to drop. There are surely few better places to launch the record and do justice to Avery's sweatbox sounds than the low ceilinged lair that is Dance Tunnel, the basement of which is sure to be roadblock central tonight. As well as plenty of cuts from the excellent 'Drone Logic' – released on Erol Alkan's Phantasy label – ready yourself for some established Avery tracks which are sure to delight the party-ready punters, including the stripped-back industrial weirdness of 'Taste', the twitchy glitch-house of 'Need Electric' and the straight-up robo-funk goodness of 'Naive Reception'. A few special guests will be making appearances – our money's on one or both of Weatherall and Alkan - and there's no advance tickets, so get down to DT early to ensure you squeeze in to this guaranteed funky firecracker of a night.
