Manchester-born party Bugged Out is twenty years young. That's a lot of top-grade clubbing they've notched up, but there's far more to come, including the twentieth birthday celebrations. Kicking off the festivities is High Fidelity, a night based on a Bugged Out party from 1996, back in the crew's home town of Manchester. The concept is simple but timeless: get 20 great DJs (all of whom have played at BU over the years) to play their favourite five tracks of all-time. The line-up is, frankly, immense: Andrew Weatherall, Erol Alkan, Justin Robertson, Daniel Avery, Bicep, Maya Jane Coles, Dusky, James Lavelle, Mylo, Heidi, 2ManyDJs, Fake Blood, Joe Goddard and many more. With the record collections of that lot, picking just five tracks is going to be tough, but it'll doubtless create a heaving dancefloor all night long. Prepare for anything from house to garage rock to dub to rockabilly to rave to disco. De La Soul were wrong: five is actually the magic number.
