Time Out says

When it opened in 1937, this distinctive Art Deco building was the largest purpose-built cinema in Europe, with more than 4,000 seats. Designed in the style of a New York skyscraper, it's now Grade II* listed, and after spells as a music venue and bingo hall, is currently owned by Ruach City Church.
