The Burlesque Assassins

A Canadian production co-starring our own Kiki Kaboom, 'Burlesque Assassins' is a feature film with a low budget and high ambitions. Think 'The Blue Angel' meets 'Inglourious Basterds': the Assassins are a secret crack squad set up after the war to hunt down the likes of Mussollini's son and Hitler's clone, while getting busy with those feather fans, natch. It's not the most polished filmmaking ever but it's plenty pacey, frequently funny, looks pretty and Kaboom, Armitage Shanks and the rest of the crowd do it proud. This UK premiere event kicks off with a selection of short films compered by Ophelia Bitz at 6.45pm followed by the film at 7.30pm.
