Jo King has contributed as much to the growth of London's burlesque scene as any other individual, perhaps more: as founder of the London Academy of Burlesque, she has helped dozens, even hundreds of performers on their way to the stage while safeguarding and passing on vital elements of the form's heritage and history. She's also a mean performer in her own right, with three decades' experience and unique status as the UK's first performer at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. For this tribute show, she's joined by such stellar old girls as Miss Polly Rae, Kiki Kaboom, Bettsie Bon Bon, Audacity Chutzpah, Ginger Blush and the Folly Mixtures – a line-up whose diverse approaches, from old-school glamour to out-and-out clowning, is a testament to the Academy's prowess. Hosted by Benjamin Louche.
