The Freak and the Showgirl: Apocastrip Wow!

This remarkable show is the joint brainchild of real-life couple and remarkable cabaret performers Mat Fraser and Julie Atlas Muz – he has a striking line in provocative performance drawing on sideshow heritage, blood, rape and slapstick while she's one of the pioneers of New York's neo-burlesque movement, unafraid to mix sensuality and horror. Both have serious Coney Island chops too, Fraser as a natural-born freak, Atlas Muz a veteran of the original Mermaid Parade. Expect nudity, eroticism, satirical provocation and political savvy.
