In a bid to help save the Poetry Book Society, which will be having all its funding from the Arts Council cut, Scottish poet and playwright and Britain's Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy will read her poem 'A Cut Back' and more, as well as 30 other poets she has invited to read, including Elaine Feinstein, David Harsent, George Szirtes, Gillian Clarke, Imtiaz Dharker, Daljit Nagra, Rosie Bailey reading for U A Fanthorpe, Ruth Fainlight, Clare Shaw, Carol Rumens, Patience Agbabi, Annie Freud, Christopher Reid, Mimi Khalvati, Fiona Sampson, Caroline Bird, Nii Ayikwei Parkes, Michael Symmons Roberts and Jane Draycott.
